About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Quality Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland. The Quality Engineer oversees the operational quality aspects of their assigned area within the company. Responsibilities include developing and ensuring quality systems and procedures for their assigned area are being followed via auditing functions, providing support to interdepartmental operations, addressing any quality-related issues associated with their area, and working along with the Quality Technician to root cause/countermeasure internal and external defects. Seeking candidates with a minimum four years of experience in quality engineering or related role; Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, preferred; Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.

Requirements

  • Minimum four years of experience in quality engineering or related role
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Requires ability to move between projects as priorities change
  • Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
