About The Position

This role involves verifying mechanical engineering designs and Bills of Material (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness. The Quality Engineer will review and implement engineering design checklists to ensure adherence to proper engineering standards. They will follow up on quality issues with engineering and manufacturing teams, documenting problems and ensuring timely corrective actions. The position requires scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues promptly. A key aspect is analyzing customer issues and developing written corrective and preventive action plans using checklists and Root Cause Analysis to minimize repetitive problems and rework costs. The engineer will also review, develop, and implement design, debug, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) checklists or procedures to identify and close potential quality gaps. Participation in design review meetings to provide quality and reliability findings and recommendations is expected. The role also includes participating in internal and external FAT processes before shipping units to confirm machine specifications meet customer requirements, and performing Risk assessments for automated robotic cells to meet safety standards. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality related field
  • 3 years of experience in product quality field in manufacturing environment.
  • Great interpersonal communication and leadership skills
  • Working experience in problem solving.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated drive for attention to detail and customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong organizational skills preferred.
  • Industrial or OSHA safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify mechanical engineering designs and BOM’s for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and implement engineering design check lists to ensure proper engineering standards are followed.
  • Follow-up on quality issues with engineering and manufacturing for corrective actions as required and document problems for timely action and resolution.
  • Schedule meetings with cross functional teams to review and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze customer issues and develop written corrective and preventive action plans using check lists and Root cause analysis as required to minimize repetitive issues and minimize rework costs.
  • Review, develop and implement design, debug, FAT checklists or procedures to identify potential gaps to improve quality.
  • Participate in design review meetings to provide quality and reliability findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in internal and external FAT process before shipping the units to confirm the machine specifications are meeting customer requirements.
  • Perform Risk assessment for automated robotic cells to meet safety standards as required.
