As a full-time Quality Engineer in the Quality Department at Aalberts, located in Pageland, SC, you will have direct responsibility for the quality of incoming components and finished goods. Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in a technical field.
- Prior experience in the field of supplier quality is required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the ability to delegate assignments. Specifically, at an upper intermediate (B2) in the English language.
- Proficient with Microsoft word processing and Excel spreadsheet development.
- Must be able to use and understand quality measurement tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other electronic measurement tools.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing setting is needed.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing Quality Engineering experience is a plus
- Prior experience in QMS and problem-solving methodologies (RCA, 8D, 6M, etc.)
- Auditing experience is a plus with a certification as an auditor – ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA 6.3
Responsibilities
- Track supplier metrics including quality and financial measurements.
- Effectively communicate quality defect detection methods and standards to suppliers.
- Track and identify deviations and initiate sustainable corrective actions
- When necessary, provide training on the use of root cause, corrective action tools such as 5-why and 8D.
- Travel to supplier sites to conduct audits, communicate standards, and assist with corrective actions.
- Enforce a safe, clean work environment for all employees.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by the manager.
