Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Understanding of Root Cause and Correction Action Management.
  • Understanding of Failure Modes & Effect Analysis, Process Flow Diagrams, and/or Control and Reaction Plans
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing in aerospace, aviation, or automotive industry.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Experience with Lean management tools.
  • Experience in measuring and reporting key quality characteristics and objectives including PPM, COPQ, product testing, etc.
  • Experience documenting with MES/SAP or similar tool as well as experience creating Corrective Action Reports.
  • CMM experience

Responsibilities

  • Leads collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources to develop quality strategy and programs.
  • Drives quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
  • Provides expertise in production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and activities.
  • Develops and implements Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.
  • Develops organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving and directs implementation.
  • Train site personnel in quality concepts, changes in process, improvement projects, and other related topics.
  • Assist in the development of Quality procedures and processes to improve product quality, increase departmental efficiency, reduce/eliminate inefficient processes.
  • Ability to measure, analyze and assess complex processes.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
