About The Position

Working with multiple levels of Elgin Sweeper to investigate and analyze quality problems, recommend solutions and implement corrective actions. Assures effective systems, validations, and controls are established and maintained to transition new products and technologies from development to operational environment. Establish robust, sustainable systems to ensure corrective and preventive measures are systematically implemented, monitored, and controlled and meet our ISO 9001 requirements. Create/Evaluate, communicate and process appropriate Engineering Change Notices to reflect quality related changes in the production process. Develop and maintain work instructions for assigned areas. Perform in-station assembly audits by comparing work instructions to assembly process to ensure appropriate equipment, tooling and parts are being followed/utilized. Investigate and make recommendations on the procurement of equipment to improve the manufacture of Elgin Products Lead process improvement projects utilizing lean principles to implement change as a leader, participant and initiator. Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality standards and protocols. Creates and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and product equipment. Designs and/or specified inspection and testing mechanism and equipment. Conduct quality assurance tests. Flexibility to perform other duties and assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of quality engineering experience
  • Experience in production environment
  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to develop relationships to allow for delivery of constructive feedback and/or corrections
