About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelors in applicable field and 2-5 years of experience in the field of Quality
  • Experience with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D
  • IPC-A-610 certified required, J-STD-001 certified preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of Inspections and manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in the electronics / electro-mechanical industry
  • Must be a US Citizen, Permanent US Resident, or currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without current or future employment sponsorship.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Post-offer applicants must pass a drug screen test.
  • If required, you must pass a background check and/or have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Current knowledge of all manufacturing ISO, FAR, DFAR, ITAR advantage
  • Certified ISO 9001 and AS9100D preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100D QMS
  • Resolving quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources
  • Effectively communicate and reinforce GMS’ commitment to quality improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with GMS’ customers’ quality and engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design
  • Review customers’ requirements for Quality Notes (Q Notes) and alert Sales and Engineering of possible exceptional Q-Notes
  • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action
  • Perform in PFMEA and DFMEA analysis
  • Coordinate with Senior Quality Engineers to resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Participate in quality reporting and management review process when needed
  • Interact with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and all Manufacturing functions
  • Interact with all levels of customers’ QA, Contract Manufacturers and all suppliers including issuing and responding to SCARs
  • Perform suppliers’ audits
  • Conduct Internal Audits and report findings
  • Participating in DQS Audits as required
  • Perform FAI on product from Turnkey Suppliers and in-house production and generate the AS9102 report
  • Create Inspection Guides for product
  • Other duties as assigned
