About The Position

Quality Engineer Location: Rockford, IL area - Loves Park, IL (onsite) Your mission in the Hardware & Manufacturing team:At TouchTunes, your work matters! You will support the hardware manufacturing quality activities of our fun product, soft-tipped dartboards, in our new, state-of-the-art facility! Our Loves Park location (located right off I-90) is our dartboard hub, offering a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and have direct access to our production and technical facilities. You will lead and execute supplier quality, manufacturing quality, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across incoming, in-process, and final product quality.This role is an evolving manufacturing environment, where you will help build and strengthen quality processes as the organization continues to grow. You will work closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and Hardware Engineering to reduce defects, improve process discipline, and strengthen overall product quality. Your role would require regular presence in manufacturing to investigate issues, validate processes, and drive real-time problem solving. Your day-to-day: Own supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers and components, including defect reduction, corrective action closure, and ongoing performance managementOwn and drive the corrective action system, including containment, root cause investigation, and making data-driven decisions on disposition, escalation, and verification of effectiveness Lead issue triage, determining appropriate ownership (supplier, manufacturing, or design) and ensuring timely progression to resolutionDrive quality execution across incoming, in-process, and final inspection, ensuring standards are clear, followed, and effectiveManage analysis of nonconformance trends and drive resolution of recurring issues, ensuring problems are fully resolved and do not recurDrive discipline in quality systems, documentation, and traceability, identifying gaps and improving processes to build scalable and reliable quality systems Ensure calibration and measurement systems are controlled and maintained, supporting product quality and audit readiness Partner with Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to drive process improvements, strengthen process controls, and ensure manufacturing processes are effective and consistently executed on the floor Support supplier qualification and validation activities (PPAP, FAI, control plans, PFMEA), ensuring suppliers meet technical and quality expectationsAnalyze field returns and RMA trends, identifying systemic issues and driving corrective actions back into manufacturing and suppliersDrive audit readiness and change implementation within quality, ensuring changes are correctly implemented, documented, and sustained through engineering. Your profile: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field 4+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, hardware, or electromechanical environments Experience in supplier quality and manufacturing quality Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, nonconformance management, and process improvement Experience with supplier audits, PPAP, FAI, PFMEA, control plans, and structured problem solving Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions to drive issue resolution Experience mentoring, training, or supporting junior team members in a manufacturing environment is a plus Ability to take ownership, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to closure in a fast-paced environment Support development of quality capability on the floor, coaching technicians and team members on inspection methods, problem solving, and adherence to quality standards What’s in it for you: At TouchTunes, your work impacts our customers as part of interesting projects that transform the in-venue entertainment industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
  • 4+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, hardware, or electromechanical environments
  • Experience in supplier quality and manufacturing quality
  • Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, nonconformance management, and process improvement
  • Experience with supplier audits, PPAP, FAI, PFMEA, control plans, and structured problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions to drive issue resolution
  • Ability to take ownership, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to closure in a fast-paced environment
