About The Position

The Quality Assurance Engineer will act as the Quality Program Lead for multiple design, development, and production programs. The Quality Program Lead is responsible for assuring the program(s) meet plans, processes, specifications, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline
  • Practical knowledge and experience with AS9100 Quality Management Standard
  • 5+ years' experience performing Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering duties in a mission critical environment
  • Clearance eligible

Nice To Haves

  • Certified AS9100 auditor a plus
  • ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ANSI Z1.4 Sample Plans
  • Experience working with Lockheed
  • Basic understanding of DO-178 (Software QA)

Responsibilities

  • Assists with developing and improving standards and procedures.
  • Creates Quality, test and inspection plans and reports
  • Ensures on-going ISO/AS9100/AS9100/ISO 17025 compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Verifies the accuracy or performance of the product and creates a Failure Analysis Report and participates in FACAR Analysis as necessary.
  • Analyzes failures, determine root cause and initiate corrective action on product and internal process failures.
  • Troubleshoots inaccuracies or problems and share results and recommendations with team members.
  • Ensures requirements are being met per functional specifications.
  • Performs QA tasks to assure developed products meet requirements.
  • Performs supplier qualification, visits, and audits.
  • Utilizes Customer (Internal or External) feedback as an input to drive continual improvement.
  • Verifies and validates information flowing to suppliers and validates that the suppliers are responding with requirements.
  • Implements, administers, and maintains Quality Management System through design, development and production phases on Engineering/Production programs.
  • Interfaces with Program Management, Engineering and Operations in program lifecycle.
  • Defines, analyzes, manages, and improves program metrics.
  • Reviews and performs first article inspections as required.
  • Reviews program documentations (drawings, assemblies, procedures, reports, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
