This position has quality oversight responsibility for the HSMC-S factory located in East Hartford, CT as well as the ACT coating facility in Middletown NY and the Amercon facility located in Middletown, PA.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
  • 10+ years' experience in an AS9100 manufacturing facility; quality system experience is required.
  • Previous experience in aerospace parts manufacturing required
  • Excellence in working with cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions and implement changes, CORE problem solving, 6-Sigma and Lean experience preferred.
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal, written communications and numerals skills who works well in a team environment; will interact with individuals from all levels.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to identify root causes to complex issues and recommend options for resolution.

  • Strong technical background in Manufacturing and/or Quality
  • Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide indirect support, leadership, and talent development of quality inspection and engineering team members
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering to implement proactive quality controls, eliminating non-conformances and improving production quality process, methods, and controls
  • Drive CORE process robustness and practitioner proficiency to achieve Improvement Targets through Goal Alignment
  • Serve as liaison to external parties on matters related to quality
  • Lead and participate in audits as required from planning, execution, corrective action to closure in accordance to AS9100 standards.
  • Drive timely and effective corrective action plans across the business
  • Hold accountability with producers, partners, and suppliers to deliver safety and quality
  • Manage MRB and MCL processes at the module center, including timely metallurgical support to operations and ongoing reduction of MRB material
