About The Position

Pratt Miller is a product development company in motorsports, defense, and mobility industries providing clients with product engineering and low-volume production solutions. Our range of research & development, engineering, prototype manufacturing, test & validation, and low-rate production capability help our customers bring their high-quality products to market faster. Pratt Miller is looking for a qualified candidate for a Quality Clerk position to assist with work order creation, perform incoming receiving inspections, coordinate manufacturing operations, compile inspection reports, and help with final product release, as well as other support as required. A successful Quality Clerk will work with the manufacturing team to provide the support they need and have the ability to learn additional functions and skills with guidance from colleagues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of work experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with manufacturing functions, such as machining processes, heat treatments, and coating applications
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Be a team player
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines
  • Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation)
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and pride in their work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Sage or other ERP systems is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Create work orders routers based on requests, including specifying manufacturing steps determined from drawings and other specifications
  • Compile and maintain inspection, material, and other records and required documentation
  • Coordinate with internal and external manufacturing leads to hit critical timing marks
  • Examine incoming parts and documentation to confirm correct specifications and standards were met
  • Operate laser parts marker to serialize parts
  • Communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and written
  • Proficient with Windows based computers and MS software such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
