ROLE PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is to operate within the Specs and Standards system and own all testing needs, internal and external to New Chapter Inc and New Chapter Canada, associated with the production of dietary supplement products.

  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of QA and Good Documentation Practices is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech Dietary Supplement regulated industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the coordination of testing required by Technical Standards for the Quality Control of raw materials, bulk and finished product. This includes testing ordering, sending, tracking, review, disposition, release coordination and communication.
  • Reviews and provides disposition for Certificates of Analysis for shipment from contract manufacturers to New Chapter and communicates document errors for revision.
  • Processes micro testing results for bulk material, and finished goods packaged in-house. Performs micro testing CoA reviews as needed.
  • Communicates with external testing labs to resolve testing-related issues, including testing delays, CoA errors and additional samples needed.
  • Owns and maintains testing trackers for bulk material and finished goods.
  • Orders testing and sends samples for CoA confirmation testing of finished product items.
  • Maintains control of all documents associated with internal and external labs testing, including scanning and electronic filing of documents.
  • Coordinates bulk shipments from NCI for finished product packaged at contract manufacturers, including sample submission forms, CM testing results and approval to ship back to NCI.
  • Owns the process of reporting testing results and informing of pass/fail to Supply Chain and Quality systems. If failed, also notifies Quality and R&D leadership.
  • Supports the process of tracking results and trend analysis to identify unusual results even if within specifications.
  • Owns and manages SOPs and JAs for processes related to this role.
  • Reviews bulk release document updates for all new bulk product formulas through Change Control Actions.
  • Manages POs for product testing.
