Job Summary Better Being is looking for a Quality Control Technician to perform visual inspections on product samples and reports results. The Quality Control Technician will report to the Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels in the organization, through both verbal and written means.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills.
  • High School diploma required; some college or technical school training is preferred; a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and have good problem-solving skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual inspections on product samples and reports results.
  • Generates quality data (NCMR’s, audits) and reports results.
  • Under supervision, directs the disposition of quality issues.
  • Reviews production processes for accuracy throughout bottling.
  • Creates and files retain samples.
  • Ensures that manufacturing personnel are adhering to GMP practices.
  • Notifies QA management of quality issues.
  • May require maintaining documentation and records of production work orders, audits and NCMRs.
  • May require assisting in responding to internal and external complaints and requests.
  • Provides support on quality projects.
  • May be required to drive personal vehicle for job related purposes.
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
