About The Position

As a Quality Control Technician (2nd Shift), you will test raw material and finish good properties of samples that come into the QC Lab. You are responsible for property testing that is reported to production and to the customer. It is important for test results to be accurate and completed in the needed timeframe. You will work onsite in our Springdale, PA plant and report to the Manager of Quality Services & Manufacturing Support. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) years of Quality Control experience
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and scientific principles required

Nice To Haves

  • Chemical or coatings manufacturing environment preferred
  • College chemistry and math desired

Responsibilities

  • Sample testing, i.e. viscosity, pH and density and determining adjustments
  • Communicate adjustments and results to other departments
  • Reduction of batch samples for spray-outs
  • Hand spray panels for defect analysis
  • Low-level analytical testing of intermediates
  • Check the calibration of equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Follow all procedures and safety protocols
