Overview of Role: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing visual, dimensional, and leak inspections on standard and complex components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, while collaborating cross-functionally and providing technical guidance to junior inspectors.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of Mechanical Inspection, Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Experience.
  • Knowledge of CMM operations
  • Basic understanding of SPC Inspections
  • Well versed in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of first article, in-process and final inspection
  • Basic understanding of the KJLC’s Quality Management System
  • Proficient in the use of computer systems and software
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vacuum leak detection

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and leak inspections using established quality methods; verify material and component compliance.
  • Inspect standard and complex parts per engineering drawings and acceptance criteria; complete inspection records and logs.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures for assigned work.
  • Receive and execute work assignments and technical instructions.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Supervisors on techniques, issues, and priorities; provide guidance to coworkers as needed.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to junior inspectors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including safety and HR requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
