Quality Control Technician I- 2nd Shift
About The Position
We have career opportunities available in San Antonio, TX for individuals with food quality control / food safety experience. Our client is a growing company with a state of the art food manufacturing facility. Food QC / QA Specialist Position Description: -Conduct inspections of all food production areas -Participate in maintaining sample retention library for frozen and refrigerated products -Perform finished product weight checks and ATP swabbing -Ensure proper storage procedures are followed (allergens, proper closure, etc) -Monitor GMPs and “use by dates” -Maintain records of temperature checks -Conduct verification checks of labels on packaging lines to ensure that they are correct -Comply and promote all company and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience in the food production / manufacturing industry required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work on the production floor throughout shift
- 1 year of experience in Food Manufacturing QC
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to USDA food industry production audits, good manufacturing practices, and other food safety standards a plus
- HACCP certification and/or ServSafe Training an asset
