Position Overview GENERAL PURPOSE The Quality Control Technical Coordinator serves as the primary front-line support for a broad range of technical and administrative activities within the Quality Control Laboratory of the Ink Jet Printing Materials Business Unit at NCS. Acting as a critical liaison between management and laboratory technicians, the technical coordinator provides mentorship, supports daily operations, and ensures seamless execution of quality control processes to maintain excellence in product quality and laboratory performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Support & Coordination Provide daily technical guidance for lab staff. Align lab activities and priorities with management directives. Facilitate communication between Quality Control and other departments. Instrumentation and Equipment Management Oversee assurance test sample program. Monitor equipment calibration and ensure maintenance schedules are met. Troubleshoot and repair laboratory instruments. Collaborate on equipment procurement and service contract management. Training & Process Development Train technicians on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and equipment use. Assist in the development of new lab processes and methodologies. Supply and Data Management Ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment. Manage data and prepare technical reports. Provide backup lab testing support as needed during periods. Continuous Improvement & Staff Development Support initiatives to improve staff skills and lab efficiency. Escalate operational challenges to management when necessary. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Maintain a safe workplace. Participate in safety audits, inspections, and EHS committee lab tours. Engage proactively in 5S and other Continuous Improvement programs. After-hours and Leadership Support (as needed) Provide after-hours technical support as required. Manage lab activities in the absence of management. Summary The Quality Control Technical Coordinator is a critical role blending technical expertise, leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset to maintain high-quality lab operations while supporting overall organizational goals and safety standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of analytical laboratory experience.
  • Expert in operation and troubleshooting of analytical laboratory instruments.
  • Strong adherence to procedures and methods, with robust analytical thinking.
  • Experience in data verification, data analysis,and interpretation.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience leading safety lab improvement projects.
  • Capability in planning and executing lab activities timely and effectively.
  • Proficient in data presentation (charts, graphs, spreadsheets) and report writing.
  • Effective communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling and waste.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ICP-OES, HPLC, IC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and particle analysis.
  • Experience in method development and vendor liaison for instrumentation and methodologies.
