About The Position

SUMMARY: Tests and inspects Products, Raw Materials, and components at various stages of the Production process. Compiles and evaluates statistical data reliably to maintain quality. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed. · Complete product Raw Materials, Finished Goods and component testing according to established SOPs, Protocols, and Amendments or Memos. · Follow cGMP, GDP, ICH, FDA, EPA, and other quality standards in accordance with laboratory documentation. · Evaluate batch results and make recommendations for improvements as needed. · Report non-routine results to the Research Chemist or Laboratory Manager. · Document accurate results on manufacturing databases. · Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to procedure. · Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment or instrument capabilities. · Participate in root cause investigations for out-of-specification products. · Conducts process improvements and special projects pertaining to Quality Control or Quality Assurance as requested by Management. · Wear Personal Protective Equipment and follow safety protocols per the Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor. · Must maintain a clean and safe environment. · Capable of performing limited Research and Development projects with supervision. · Performs wet chemistry sample preparation and testing including but not limited to titrations, pH determinations, foam testing, solids determinations and refractometer readings. · Learns the use of specialized instruments necessary to perform testing including but not limited to Viscometer, FTIR, GC-FID, UHPLC-DAD, and centrifuge samples. · Learn specialized techniques to perform testing including but not limited to floor finish application, glass cleaner evaluation, and instrument sample preparation. Be able to take samples from Manufacturing tanks, Raw Material containers and storage tanks
