About The Position

Quality Control Specialist (BPMA): Bowhead is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to provide warehouse and logistics support for the Program Manager Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA-263 in Charleston, SC. This role is critical in supporting the life cycle of UASISR and Unmanned Logistics Systems – Air (ULS-A). The successful candidate will manage complex material control processes, ensure system verification, and maintain high-accuracy inventory standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience.
  • Knowledge of UASISR systems including ULS-A, TRUAS, FoSUAS, MARV-EL, and payloads like WAMI and SAR.
  • Must be capable of meeting medical and dental screening requirements for OCONUS travel and for embarking on U.S. Naval vessels.
  • Ability to utilize the AMS CDRL Tool, WAWF, and PIEE for deliverable uploads and reporting.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
  • Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level, candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply.
  • US Citizenship is a requirement for admission to this location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide material control for all equipment, components, and spares. This includes ordering, tracking, receiving, and kitting items for delivery to the field. Operations include supporting the storage, issuance, and maintenance of material and an active NSA-authorized COMSEC account for Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).
  • Serve as the Warranty Manager, tracking Government acceptance/receipt dates against serial numbers and Lowest Replaceable Units (LRU). You must initiate Return for Maintenance Authorizations (RMAs) within 48 clock hours of receipt.
  • Conduct monthly inventory audits and reconciliations with a required 98% overall accuracy per system at each location.
  • Ensure delivered items are registered with Unique Item Identifiers (UII) in the IUID Registry in accordance with SECNAVINST 4440.34.
