About The Position

Join a team focused on delivering high-quality lending services through disciplined review and strong controls. In this role, you will help ensure credit proposals are accurate, consistent, and supported by complete documentation. JOB SUMMARY As a Credit Proposal Quality Control Specialist in Wholesale Lending Services, you will perform quality reviews of credit proposals and related facility setup data to confirm alignment with supporting documentation. You will identify, document, and escalate inconsistencies while partnering with operations, credit, controls, and technology to improve processes, reporting, and risk controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of relevant experience in financial services, audit, accounting controls, regulatory, compliance, or similar.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience reviewing, validating, or reconciling data against source documentation.
  • Knowledge of lending products and concepts (e.g., revolving lines, term loans, letters of credit).
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify data quality issues.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policy and procedural requirements consistently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear issue documentation.
  • Analytical approach and sound judgment, with comfort raising and probing potential issues.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple items concurrently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing information with colleagues and leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in lending operations, credit administration, quality control, or a control function supporting lending.
  • Experience with facility setup validation, exception management, and production queue monitoring.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) and experience building recurring reporting.
  • Experience using credit risk or lending workflow systems (including iCRD or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with internal lending documentation repositories and deal workflow tools (e.g., I-Vault, DealWorks, CRRT, Party Central).
  • Experience reading and interpreting loan, credit approval, or compliance documentation.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams to raise defects and drive process/system improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality reviews across key credit processes, focusing primarily on credit proposals.
  • Analyze facility setups in the credit risk system to confirm alignment to supporting documentation.
  • Identify, document, and report inconsistencies between proposal data and source documents.
  • Maintain and enhance controls to minimize operational risk and support a strong control environment.
  • Manage and monitor production queues, exception reporting, and key performance indicators.
  • Respond to requests, questions, and issues accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Partner with technology teams to improve system functionality and stability.
  • Build relationships with operations, credit, controls, and technology partners to drive outcomes.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting for control partners and business stakeholders, including audit support.
  • Research, analyze, and synthesize data to support initiatives and projects.
  • Participate in working sessions and initiatives aimed at improving quality outcomes and process standards.
