About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist (Architectural) is responsible for overseeing the quality of exterior envelope and interior finish elements, as well as the aesthetic finishes of a project. This involves inspecting materials, monitoring construction methods for site work, concrete, steel, and architectural finishes, and ensuring compliance with design documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management or related field. Previous and relevant work experience in place of degrees is applicable
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or construction on commercial, government or industrial projects.
  • Takes initiative and personal responsibility to always deliver value and excellence

Responsibilities

  • Review contract documents (plans and specifications) and subcontractor submittals to ensure contract compliance.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of exterior and interior architectural elements, including exterior envelope (waterproofing, façade systems, roofing, windows, doors) and interior finishes (drywall, doors/frames/hardware, painting, floor finishes, wall finishes, and millwork) for compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, and mock-ups.
  • Verify that all materials delivered and installed meet specified requirements, approved submittals, and have the necessary certification documents.
  • Ensure the overall quality of craftsmanship and adherence to acceptable industry standards.
  • Work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve non-conforming work and close out punch list items promptly.
