About The Position

This position is responsible for: Monitors and participates in day-to-day activities for the smooth operation of the program; ensures compliance with established policies and procedures identified by the BOP Statement of Work, RRC Operations Manual, The Salvation Army, as well as those of local, state and federal regulations; monitors departmental expenditures ensuring compliance with budget constraints; monitors contract restrictions and ensures that program operations are in compliance. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • One year work experience auditing and reviewing compliance in a similar environment, with prior data entry experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Ability to pass all additional BOP contract required background checks.
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations.
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
  • Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and participates in the day-to-day operations of the program on various shifts; ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with established policies and procedures including housing, facility maintenance, meal preparation, life skill classes, transportation, employment assistance, education and vocational assistance as well as other programming needs.
  • Monitors the maintenance of program facility; ensures that the building is properly cleaned, maintained and secured at all times; informs Director of needed hygiene items for ordering.
  • Monitors departmental expenditures ensuring compliance with budget constraints; monitors contract restrictions and ensures that program operations are in compliance.
  • Receives and assists with monthly billings; brings bills to main office for processing once complete; receives and receipts money as needed.
  • Prepares monthly Quality Control Report for approval by Director in accordance with the procedures and schedule outlined in the Operations Manual; coordinates with Office Coordinator to ensure timeless of the submission of the quarterly report to the BOP CCM’s office as required by contract.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with contractual agencies in accordance with agency requirements and standards; maintains awareness of local, state and federal regulations governing program operations and ensures compliance to the same including health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Oversees and conducts disciplinary hearings with BOP to ensure proper documentation is completed; acts as liaison with BOP throughout the disciplinary process.
  • Provides orientation for new staff to the program and facilitates training to ensure contract/program compliance; coordinates training documentation with Office Coordinator in accordance with BOP/TSA requirements.
  • Cross-trains on all departmental program positions in order to properly provide compliance oversight; provides coverage for staff responsibilities in the event of absences or temporary vacancies in order to ensure contract requirements are continuously provided at the direction of the Director or Assistant Director.
  • Drives various Salvation Army vehicles as needed.
  • Assists with various IT needs for the department as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
