As a dedicated leader on the ground, you operate independently with full ownership of quality across complex commercial and federal construction projects. Your presence is critical-whether actively walking the site or readily available, you're the go-to expert for real-time decisions that keep work aligned with contract expectations and compliance requirements. In this role, you're empowered to uphold excellence without compromise. You have the authority to stop work, address issues head-on, and drive accountability, all while maintaining direct communication with company leadership. Requirements

  • 5-10 years of construction experience, including 2-5 years in a Quality Control role on ground-up commercial projects
  • Federal Project experience (VA, USACE, DoD) with strong knowledge of compliance standards
  • Proven work in mission-critical environments (data centers), including MEP systems, redundancy, and commissioning
  • Experience managing inspections, testing, commissioning and QC documentation across multiple trades
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Required certifications: CQM-C (for federal projects) and OSHA 30

Nice To Haves

  • Background in healthcare or occupied environments, preferred
  • Familiarity with RMS/QCS or similar project management systems, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce the Three-Phase Quality Control Systems across all definable features of work (DFOW), including preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections
  • Review and approve submittals for compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable standards
  • Coordinate all inspections and testing (including third-party) across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes
  • Manage deficiency logs, ensuring timely identification, documentation, and resolution of non-conforming work
  • Prepare daily QC reports capturing inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Verify all work aligns with approved submittals, drawings, and specifications before progression
  • Oversee quality across all phases of ground-up construction, from sitework through specialty systems
  • Maintain complete QC documentation, including submittals, RFIs, inspection logs, test reports, and closeout materials
  • Enforce subcontractor adherence to QC processes, documentation, and testing requirements
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and owners to resolve quality issues and maintain alignment
  • Serve as primary point of contact for owners, design teams, inspectors, and government representatives during audits and inspections
  • Exercise stop-work authority and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards
  • Lead project closeout quality efforts, including punch list completion, system verification, and turnover documentation
  • Ensure compliance with USACE/NAVFAC/VA CQM requirements and maintain the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan
  • Utilize RMS/QCS systems for reporting, submittal tracking, and documentation management
  • Manager DFOW planning and submittal logs in accordance with federal requirements (e.g., ENG Form 4288)
  • Enforce ICRA and ILSM protocols in healthcare environments and coordinate work in occupied/phased facilities
  • Oversee low-voltage and IT infrastructure quality for EHRM-related projects
  • Support and coordinate government inspections and ensure all testing, commissioning, and turnover documentation meets federal standards
