About The Position

Summary Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading and maintaining ISO 9001:2015, SQF, or equivalent food safety and quality management systems is required.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems promptly; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works effectively in group problem-solving situations; applies reason even under challenging circumstances.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS), Kosher certification requirements, and cleanroom environments is preferred.
  • Experience in converting and blown film extrusion processes is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to assess current standards and establish expected quality and reliability of finished products.
  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives aligned with corporate policies and goals.
  • Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Communicates quality control philosophy to key personnel across the organization.
  • Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with plant management to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Monitors and reports on quality performance metrics, including KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees inspection activities for products throughout the production cycle
  • Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
  • Directs staff engaged in inspection and testing activities to maintain continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Collaborates with vendors to ensure the quality of all purchased components.
  • Creates and directs environmental test functions.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements relevant to the facility.
  • Actively participates in quality management teams within the organization.
  • Designs and implements quality control training programs for key personnel in conjunction with managers.
  • Investigates and manages customer quality complaints, serving as a primary customer-facing representative while coordinating with Sales and Customer Service and partnering with Operations Management to ensure timely resolution and effective communication.
