About The Position

Innophos is recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our Nashville, Tennessee chemical plant. The Lab Tech position is responsible for performing all raw material, in-process, and finished product testing for products produced at the Nashville plant.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry
Ability to comprehend and accurately perform analytical methods
Possess a fundamental understanding of mathematics and understand the nature of analytical calculations
Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and LIMS software
Must be able to: Safely handle corrosive and toxic chemicals Safely work alone when necessary Complete assignments in a timely fashion Maintain a clean work area Visually make color comparisons and identify the presence of foreign materials Interact professionally with supervisors/production employees in busy lab environment Use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab results
Must have a good attendance record
Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, weekends, holidays, and vacation relief
Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions

Performing daily calibration checks
Running references
Entering data into log books, LIMS software programs
Prepare and release CoA's for bulk shipments
