About The Position

We are looking for an experienced individual to join the USANA’s quality control team as a QC lab specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for the specialization of their specific field of study and provide technical support to internal laboratory processes, methods, and staff in this area. You will also independently conduct laboratory tests following procedures involving chemical and/or physical analysis methods. Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs on analytical laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime Train laboratory personnel on standard operating procedures (SOPs), scientific operations, and the proper use of laboratory equipment Collaborate with the R&D Lab to implement and validate new or revised test methods for the Chem Lab Critically review laboratory notebooks, assay data, and computational functions to ensure data integrity and accuracy before final material release Conduct thorough "Out of Specification" (OOS) investigations, including writing detailed test protocols and identifying root causes Evaluate and qualify columns, reagents, stock solutions, and standards to meet stringent quality control requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • 3 years of laboratory experience
  • Ability to perform complex scientific mathematical functions
  • Possess in-depth knowledge in one more analytical methodology/instrument
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
