About The Position

Responsibilities: · Receive and test raw material and finished product samples following controlled test procedure guidelines. · Record test data accurately in the ERP system, or approved spreadsheets; ensure traceability and proper data integrity controls. · Operate, maintain, and perform routine calibrations on laboratory instruments; document calibration according to procedural requirements. · Identify out-of-specification results and report/react to them appropriately based on controlled procedures. · Verify correct labeling, handling, storage, and documentation for hazardous materials and waste. · Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting method or workflow enhancements; support experiments as directed. · Complete supervisor-assigned tasks to meet departmental objectives and on-time delivery of quality product. Qualifications: · High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred. · Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment. · Ability to complete positional tasks that may include bending, squatting, twisting and overhead reaching. · Ability to make gross or fine adjustments to parts, machines, vehicles or controls that require coordinating fine or gross finger or hand movement with visual information. · Occasionally ascend and descend a ladder using fall protection techniques to service equipment. · The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, such as safety glasses, safety shoes, highly visible vest, gloves, and a respirator for part or most of the day. · Ability to lift 25-pound bags, pails or boxes to a height of 3-4 feet with assistance. · The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, such as a respirator for part or most of the day.
