Position Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Lab Operations Technician I provides operational support to GMP‑regulated QC laboratories. This role focuses on sample management, laboratory upkeep, glassware cleaning, and documentation support to ensure efficient, compliant laboratory operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma is required.
  • 0–1 years of laboratory or regulated environment experience is required.
  • Basic understanding of GMP and laboratory operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment using PPE.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent handling of laboratory glassware and materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related) is preferred.
  • Experience with sample handling, glassware cleaning, or lab support is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LIMS or electronic documentation systems is preferred.
  • Exposure to biotech or pharmaceutical environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and track raw material, in‑process, stability, and finished product samples per SOPs.
  • Prepare and coordinate sample submissions to internal QC groups and external laboratories.
  • Maintain accurate sample records in LIMS or tracking logs and escalate discrepancies.
  • Clean, inspect, and store laboratory glassware and reusable labware following approved procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and supply levels.
  • Perform basic support checks and documentation for lab equipment used in operational activities.
  • Follow GMP, GDP, data integrity, and safety requirements at all times.
  • Support audits and inspections by retrieving sample and operational records.
