About The Position

This position is for a Quality Control Inspector at Big Tex Mt. Pleasant in Mount Pleasant, TX. The role involves ensuring the quality of trailers for ATW by conducting tests, monitoring production processes, and identifying malfunctions. The inspector collaborates with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver high-quality products. Key responsibilities include tracking quality assessments to meet daily plant output expectations, utilizing checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor manufacturing processes and report on plant quality KPIs. The inspector will follow products through the entire manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended, perform detailed inspections of raw materials and final products to confirm they meet standards, and track, record, and maintain quality assurance data. Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40+ pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
  • Checks the quality of trailers for ATW by conducting tests, monitoring production processes and identifying malfunctions.
  • Collaborates with the plant manufacturing team and operations staff to deliver the highest quality product possible.
  • Tracks quality assessments to ensure the plant output meet expectations daily.
  • Utilizes checklists, standard work, quality standards, engineering standards, and iAuditor templates to monitor the manufacturing process and report on plant quality KPI’s.
  • Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.
  • Performs detailed inspections of raw materials and final products and confirm they are manufactured to standard.
  • Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.
  • Performs other duties as required.
