The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company requirements. They utilize specifications, drawings, and standards to assess products via visual inspection, testing, or measurement. The QC Inspector will ensure documentation of all non-conformances and facilitate disposition and remedial actions that yield conforming products. Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans. Perform detailed inspections on products, components, and materials to verify compliance with established quality standards and specifications. Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to check produced goods. Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products. Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence. Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities to assist in the root cause determination and corrective/preventive action recommendation. Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database. Analyze inspection data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in the production process. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to implement process improvement based on quality data analysis. Communicate quality issues and findings to relevant stakeholders, including supervisors, managers, and production teams. Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training. Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs. Assisting with internal and 3rd party compliance audits. Verifying all equipment is calibrated on time and correctly. Other duties as assigned.
