About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector with a passion for quality and problem-solving. Your role involves inspecting, testing, and ensuring product compliance with precise GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements. You'll utilize various inspection techniques, including GD&T, and interact with customers and government inspectors. This position requires reading and interpreting drawings, verifying certifications, conducting tests, and maintaining accurate records. About You You have some experience in Quality Control and you are someone who is excited to be part of a talented and knowledgeable team. You are a creative problem-solver who enjoys helping us meet the high expectations of our customers with extensive GD&T callouts and tight tolerances. You have exceptional computer skills and the ability to quickly learn different customer submission portals such as Exostar, P2P, and Net-Inspect. In addition, you need to be able learn to navigate multiple software programs within our organization, but don't worry - we will train you on those! Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Two years of relevant work experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills and knowledge of quality assurance procedures.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting documents, and writing reports.
  • Mathematical aptitude for calculations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform various tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate Degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with running and/or programming a Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets standard drawings and specifications for inspection of parts, equipment and fixtures. Verifies certification of processes and material on incoming products as required. Consults with Senior Inspectors and/or Quality Systems Manager on acceptance standards and conveyance of quality issues.
  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process and tests products for qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics. Utilizes GDT for dimensional requirements. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics.
  • Records test data and inspection records and meets with Source Inspectors as required. Evaluates data and writes reports to accept or reject parts in accordance with Company procedures and customer requirements. Identifies reports or corrects problems with equipment, material or procedures and recommends modifications of existing procedures to achieve optimum quality within limits of Company capability.
  • Completes paperwork and assigned tasks quickly and accurately with minimal direction from Supervisor or Senior Inspector(s).
  • Very good computer skills are required.
  • Ensures that all QMS (Quality Management Systems) procedures are followed.
