About The Position

This position directs the work of QC Inspectors involving the evaluation of incoming material/products during the production process. Ensures that QC Inspectors receive continued training as required. Assist the Quality Manager in ensuring that all Quality Management System procedures are being followed in the QC Department. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations. Supervises hourly QC Inspectors in the performance of their duties. Assigns inspection jobs and sets priority of jobs based on daily production objectives Works closely with all production departments, on quality issues and assists in troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret machine drawings, including complex views and specifications. Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and application. Skilled in creating dimensional inspection plans directly from machine drawings. Experienced in measuring taper threads using appropriate gauges and standards. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, CMM, mic trac). Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from specifications. Competence in documenting inspection results and preparing quality reports. Ability to work with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues. Hardness test parts Reports time against jobs Reports NCR’s and assist with investigations and dispositions when necessary. Reviews Certificates of Conformance, Material Test Reports and other documentation to ensure conformance with quality requirements. Monitors, verifies and sign off on job documentation. Performs Final Product Release and application of the API Monogram. Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to QC Inspectors, to develop continuous quality improvement within the department. Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED): or a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimension & Tolerance inspection
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Strong math skill and proficient reading
  • Knowledge of CWH Quality Management System
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
