As an operator/metal fabricator you will use various machines and perform layout operations to fashion components for these assemblies. This is a 1st shift onsite position only available at our Erlanger, KY Service Center. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekend work/OT as optional. Available shift is 6:45AM to 3:15PM. Job Description The Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all Quality standards are achieved for both manufactured and purchased products. Providing the final point of inspection for the products and maintaining reports and performance metrics. Raising quality non-conformance reports (NCR) and supporting the problem resolution process, including Containment, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventative Actions. The candidate must possess the ability to solve simple problems, provide operable solutions, act with minimal direction on their own initiative. The candidate will work within the Fabrication team reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements

• Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Familiarity with quality measurement equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and inspection methodologies.
• Dedication to safety procedures while operating equipment is required.
• Solid computer skills required - SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating and manages calibration systems.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Auditing manufacturing processes where required.
• Completing Non-Conforming Reports with root cause analysis.
• Provide training and guidance to inspect using best practice.
