About The Position

Position Overview: The Quality Control Field Coordinator on site is responsible for supporting quality assurance and Lean initiatives at the assigned jobsite. The role ensures that project standards are met, and continuous improvement practices are implemented effectively on-site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrates knowledge of installation methods, including but not limited to installation of exterior specialty metal, glass panel systems, ACM & IMP panels, Single Skin & Cement Panels, Louvers and screen wall systems. Assist superintendents while onsite with day-to-day activities when needed. Communicate with GC quality control person and attend QC meetings when required. Understanding of manufactures installation requirements. Understanding of job specifications and divisions. Ensure all materials are securely anchored, fastened and aligned, ensuring water-tight and structurally sound installations. Communicate with the field installation team and report any observed discrepancies, changes and problems immediately. Strictly follow all safety and quality regulations and always wear appropriate PPE. Check all installations for Square, Level and Plumb conditions. Create/fill required daily or weekly QA/QC forms.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of construction experience, including supervisory or superintendent roles in commercial glazing or a related field.
  • In depth knowledge of commercial glazing and panel installation practices, equipment, and tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, reports, project scheduling, and job costing.
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulation, and quality control standards, and various other electronic devices.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Complete understanding of Company Safety Health and Management Program
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods.
  • The incumbent will occasionally be required to lift but not limited to 50 lbs.
  • The incumbent will be exposed to the loud noise of construction equipment and traffic.
  • The incumbent will also be exposed to the following conditions while on the job site: Work near moving mechanical parts Work in high, precarious places Fumes or airborne particles Outdoor weather conditions Extreme cold (non-weather) Extreme heat (non- weather) Risk of electrical shock Vibration

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification preferred.
