About The Position

Advanced Atomization Technologies (AA TECH) is a joint venture between Parker Aerospace and GE Aerospace, created to produce and support advanced fuel nozzles and related products for current and future commercial engine platforms, including aerospace and aero-derivative engines. The highly skilled and experienced team of AA TECH employees is expert in design, assembly, testing, and aftermarket support, providing our customers with a world-class product and support experience. The Quality Calibration Technician performs scheduled NIST traceable calibrations on manual and equipment gages that are identified in a Gage Tracking System to assure the gage is fit to accept or reject product. Some examples of manual and equipment gages requiring calibration are micrometers, drop indicators, pin gages, dial calipers, thread gages, flow test stands, pressure gages, temperature gages, flow meters, etc. The Quality Calibration Technician will be responsible for some and/or a combination of the key responsibilities below.

Requirements

Associate of Science (AS) degree and/or 3 plus years of related experience
Completion of Basic & Advanced Quality Training
MS Office competency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Self-Starter who is motivated by external and internal customer satisfaction and favorable metrics.
Results Oriented
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints (including GD&T) and written work instruction(s)
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Prior Inspection Experience

Responsibilities

Perform calibrations on various manual and equipment gages – incudes post move/ repairs calibration (as needed).
Assist Engineering and Maintenance on troubleshooting equipment gages (as needed)
Manage the inputs and outputs of the Gage Tracking System – including issuing new gages and inactivating retired gages.
Ensures Metrology Lab temperature and humidity is documented daily.
Perform 1st article inspection and receiving inspection (as needed)
Ensure all relevant data used for Calibration Metrics are accurate and up to date.
Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities
Input relevant data used for Calibration Metrics
Perform inspections used for Gage R&R, Process Capability and Engineering Studies (as needed)
Participate in other quality functions such as Internal & 3rd Party Auditing, PDCA’s & CAR’s (as needed)
Manage Lost/ Missing Gages List – including communication to various disciplines within the facility.
Manage 3rd party calibration logistics.
Creating/ updating calibration procedures and instructions
Responsible for scheduling calibration times to minimize production interruption – includes manual and equipment gages.
Manage the rejected gage product impact assessment process.
