RISE is in a search to hire a Quality & Behavior Support Specialist to provide knowledgeable guidance to ensure that all services and supports are provided in ways that meet the standards as outlined within State contracts and CMS mandates with a focus on standardization, compliance, audits, dashboards, Therap, behavior plans and behavioral support. This position reports to the Compliance Coordinator and will act as a point of contact for RISE staff and its community partners. The incumbent will have expertise in the primary areas impacted by the CMS Rules and will oversee and assist RISE with meeting all matters of operation’s compliance and regulation and behavioral support.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
  • Demonstrative technical and computer software skills including the ability to manipulate and analyze data through Excel, reporting tools and run queries
  • Ability to pass criminal background check including Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, drug test and driving record check
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Work remotely on occasion
  • Meet specific project timelines
  • Position requires prolonged computer monitor viewing
  • This position is very detail oriented and will require a person that is proficient meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Standardization: Assist Compliance Coordinator with SOP/Form review and creation; contribute to sample Member Binder for district programs; provides staff trainings on Member Binders and Audit procedures.
  • Compliance: Assist with EVV compliance and audits; assist with member book compliance audits and training; creates and maintains compliance scorecards for district programs; correct and address issues of non-compliance in a manner that limits recurrence and promotes adherence to set rules; Lead investigations on Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and Fact Findings (FF), collect required documentation and provide training to satisfy CAP requirements; ensure 5310 grant requirements are met; assist with annual OLCR compliance.
  • Audits: Assist with and perform annual internal compliance audits; prepare for external compliance audits by carrying out internal audits to ensure all regulatory requirements are maintained; assist with audits including Google Drive audit, HIPAA audit, member and employee files.
  • Dashboards: Assist Incident Reporting and Resolution review and tracking; assist with Training Report; assist with BP Dashboard updates.
  • Monitoring: Performs bi-annual in-person monitoring for BP compliance, ensures proper documentation in member files, reviews and giving feedback for implementation of BP, provides in-person behavioral support for group homes and day programs; performs biannual group home and DTA monitoring.
  • Behavior Plans: Writes, implements, and updates Behavior Plans (BPs) with ABA based principles, plans and implements meaningful activities that promote skill development, ensures correct data collection for BPs, and trains staff on correct BP process for each specific member.
  • Therap: Performs Therap data entry for new members and new employees; performs general data audits; update and monitor.
  • Support: Assists with communication for inspections of management practices; If necessary, attend PCSP meetings to provide additional support; supports programs by providing State trainings such as First Aid, CPR, RANE, Article 9, & Prevention and Support.
  • Data Analysis: Assist with data analysis in Excel to solve problems; assist with periodic assessment of an organization’s operations to ensure they are in line with external and internal regulations.
