About The Position
Perform inspection of WIP and finished product in accordance with sampling plans and internal and external customer specifications. Communicates non-conformances to the appropriate individuals, in accordance with documented work instructions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of all training modules for operator assistant and QA/QC.
- Additional training requirements are identified and arrangements for the training made when needed.
- The physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Quality Inspector job.
- Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the described essential functions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Responsibilities
- Draws samples for inspection in accordance with the appropriate sampling plan
- Inspects product in accordance to documented work instructions
- Determines acceptability in accordance with documented customer specifications and AQL's.
- Controls nonconforming product, in accordance with documented SOP's.
- Ensures effective communication within the work team and reports any non-conformances to the appropriate individual.
- Responsible for food safety
- Works 12-hour shifts standing on concrete
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Work in the heat
- Performs other designated duties of the Quality System, as assigned.
