About The Position

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for performing inspections per the quality control plan for bathing products, including tubs, shower bases, shower walls, and tub walls. This role ensures compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications by inspecting final product from vacuum forming, extrusion, and incoming materials. The inspector plays a key role in identifying defects, supporting corrective actions, and maintaining accurate quality documentation to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalence.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify product defects and inconsistencies.
  • Basic understanding of quality inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, and visual inspection standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, quality specifications, and standard operation procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Work independently, make decisions, communicate with others
  • Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level
  • Lift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs.occasionally
  • Work weekends and provide shift overlap as needed based on the production schedule or to cover absenteeism on other shifts.
  • Must be able to train on 1st shift (6:45am - 3:15pm) for 4-6 weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a quality-related role is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or other quality management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on final products, in-process materials, and incoming raw materials according to quality control plans.
  • Document and report any defects, deviations, or non-conformances and collaborate with production to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Utilize measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions, appearance, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports within the quality system.
  • Support quality hold processes by identifying, labeling, and tracking suspect materials or products.
  • Assist in root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, new product launches related to product quality.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and maintain a clean and organized environment
