About The Position

Under direct supervision and following standard procedures, assesses quality of software programs through manual and automated testing, creates test matrixes following business requirements and applications. The position involves testing and verifying the quality of software programs, reviewing and analyzing system specifications, and building and maintaining test scenarios, cases, and plans based on business requirements. The individual will execute test scripts, review results, and collaborate with Application Developers to develop effective strategies and test plans. Additionally, the role includes creating technical logs to document test phases and defects, ensuring software programs meet client needs, and verifying that software runs according to business requirements and conforms to guidelines. The position requires working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle and assisting in troubleshooting issues.

Requirements

  • Two to four years related experience and/or training
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college/technical school, or equivalent combination of education and related experience/training
  • Ability to work legally in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Tests and verifies quality of software programs

  • Assists in troubleshooting issues
  • Estimates and prioritizes testing activities
  • Effectively analyze, develop, and lead the execution of small, non-complex system changes within limited area of responsibility
  • Prepare project task lists by gathering, analyzing, and making recommendations based on client input
  • Coordinate with client throughout project lifecycle
  • Maintain a mutual understanding of project direction with programming staff
  • Balance project priorities, recognizes scope creep, and ensures deadlines are met
  • Performs other duties as assigned
