About The Position

For more than 75 years, Hoffmaster has elevated the way people dine, entertain and bake though premium sustainable tableware. Hoffmaster is hiring a Night Shift Quality Assurance Technician to support its production and quality operations. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring product quality across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating night shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to read and understand procedures and specifications
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to identify product quality issues

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or quality experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support quality operations across the facility by monitoring, testing, and auditing products throughout the production process.
  • Conduct internal quality audits on finished products, raw materials, and production paperwork
  • Report audit findings and follow up on corrective actions
  • Inspect incoming materials per established specifications
  • Perform product testing using established protocols
  • Evaluate and properly disposition non-conforming materials
  • Understand and follow the FAI (First Article Inspection) process
  • Assist in determining acceptable vs. non-conforming product
  • Perform analytical testing as directed
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations
  • Support customer audits and product inspections
  • Update and maintain work instructions and procedures
  • Create and update spreadsheets in Excel
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and SQF guidelines
  • Support training and assist team members as needed
