About The Position

Join PPG in Lima, OH — Be the steady hand behind product quality Immediately Hiring for a Quality professional who ensures every product meets the mark before it reaches our customers. This is a full-time, on-site role in Lima, Ohio. Pay: $21.00 per hour Schedule: 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. A day in the life You’ll start your morning reviewing outgoing orders against customer specs, making sure what leaves the dock is exactly what was promised. As the day progresses, you’ll dive into customer issues to drive corrective actions, evaluate returns and quarantine nonconforming materials, and keep our MITS work instructions up to date. You’ll conduct customer-specific requirement audits, help prepare PPAP documentation for customer parts, and ensure each operating area follows the standards defined in our Corporate Quality Policy Manual. You’ll also field customer calls, investigate concerns, maintain the calibration program for measurement and test equipment, and perform statistical workups such as capability studies and gage R&R. And, when needed, you’ll pitch in on other quality-support tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Comfort with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Background in manufacturing or warehouse settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify outgoing shipments conform to customer requirements per the audit schedule.
  • Investigate customer-reported quality issues and respond with corrective actions.
  • Assess customer returns and control nonconforming product flow.
  • Support internal and external audits and run customer-specific requirement audits.
  • Keep MITS work instructions current and accessible.
  • Champion adherence to the Corporate Quality Policy Manual across plant operations.
  • Handle customer calls, probe issues, and relay findings to the right teams.
  • Administer the calibration system for measurement and testing tools.
  • Execute statistical analyses, including capability and gage R&R studies.
  • Assist with PPAP preparation for customer parts.
  • Contribute to other quality initiatives as needed.
