Position: Quality Assurance Technician Position Details Compensation: $21/hour Benefits: PTO, Medical, Dental, Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and 401(k) Perks: Free bag of produce every other week Shift: 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM to end of shift (must be able to stay until work is completed) Essential Functions As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our fresh cut products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Basic English writing and communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Reliable, accountable, and a strong team player
  • Willingness to be cross-trained within the QA team
  • Ability to work in a cold environment (34–42°F) – PPE provided
  • Wet floors and surfaces – waterproof boots provided and required
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food production or manufacturing
  • Background in quality assurance or regulatory compliance
  • HACCP, PCQI, or SQF certification
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Somali, etc.)
  • High school diploma or higher education

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and maintaining food safety and quality assurance systems
  • Monitoring production lines for compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards
  • Conducting sanitation inspections and environmental/allergen swabbing
  • Collecting environmental, microbial, and product samples
  • Titrating PAA wash water levels; checking scale, thermometer, and metal detector functionality
  • Accurately documenting and reporting quality data
  • Communicating with production supervisors and managers regarding product issues
  • Identifying and escalating non-conformances
  • Verifying proper labeling, packaging, and product specifications
  • Assisting with internal audits and third-party inspections
  • Participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Supporting quality and food safety training for production staff
  • Maintaining calibration and verification records for QA equipment
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce waste
