About The Position
The Quality Assurance Tech conducts quality assurance audits of production assuring company standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved. Consults with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Functions as an information source to associates and various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur.
Requirements
- QA or food safety experience (per job description)
- Ability to work in a production/food environment
- Understanding of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF)
- Ability to stand for full shift and perform physical tasks
Nice To Haves
- Prior food manufacturing QA experience
Responsibilities
- Perform QA audits and ensure compliance with GMP, SSOP, and regulatory standards
- Conduct inspections on raw materials and finished products
- Verify CCPs and labeling accuracy
- Calibrate QA equipment
- Maintain HACCP and SQF systems
- Conduct product testing and evaluate results
- Address and resolve minor quality issues
- Monitor product coding and shelf-life standards
- Train and guide production staff on quality practices
- Support QA projects and continuous improvement efforts
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees
