Accepting applications from Jan 21 through Feb 21. Applicant selection occurs through March 15th. The internship will begin on either June 8, or June 15, 2025, and will run for a total of 10 weeks. As a Cheesecake Specialist Quality Assurance Supply Chain Intern, you will play an integral part in supporting our Quality Assurance & Food Safety department by assisting with ongoing projects and responsibilities that relate to your future career. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how a Quality Assurance & Food Safety department functions by interacting with the entire team as well as cross functionally with other departments. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance Supply Chain & DC, you will work with a Quality Assurance & Food Safety team of 8 of staff members, located in Calabasas Hills, CA, supporting the Quality Assurance & Food Safety function for a $3.6 billion public company with over 350 restaurants and more than 47,500 staff members. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education.
  • Majoring in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food Technology or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Available to work from the Support Center at least 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GFSI
  • Knowledge of Project Management Software
  • Proficient in the US Food Code
  • Restaurant Food Supply knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects as needed and support others within the group (e.g., Supplier Quality Program).
  • Monitor and maintain the database for the Supplier Product Complaints and Corrective Action Program.
  • Assist in maintaining the database for vendors, suppliers, processors, packers, or produce growers to track and identify any trends that may affect CCF QA and Food Safety Programs.
  • Develop and maintain product specifications and product evaluations, and provide feedback to the group, including suppliers.
