Seneca Foods Corporation’s Glencoe, MN facility, is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team. In Glencoe, we do it all! We have a full time Labeling department, Frozen Corn on the Cob Packaging department, Field Reps to meet with local growers, and many Mechanics who make it possible to run a successful production! The Glencoe facility focuses on primarily Canning and Freezing, Peas, Lima Beans, Sweet Corn and Carrots. Our Peak Production season typically starts mid-June and wraps up mid-November. The QA Supervisor ensures that all products meet or exceed company standards and comply with food processing regulations. They will administer all Seneca Foods quality, food safety, sanitation, and safety policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or a related field preferred.
  • Certified or able to become certified in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing and Container Closure.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of supervisory experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Performs audits to monitor compliance with all GMP standards, Food Safety Standards, Food Safety issues, Case and Label procedures and Safety programs.
  • Supervise employees on the assigned shift.
  • Review and organize plant processing records for conformance with regulations and Company policy prior to review by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Provide employee training for Fill Control, Sanitation, Can Seams, Grading and Statistical Process Control.
  • Perform audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facility.
  • Perform investigations of causes for any spoilage issues
  • Participate in Food Safety audits as required.
