Your ‘day to day’ Assist in developing, documenting, and validating Quality and Environmental Management Systems and related programs. Supervise, coach, and develop the Quality System Specialist and QA Technicians; identify training needs and implement cross‑training to strengthen inspection and testing capabilities. Manage part inventories and operational supplies; evaluate suppliers and ensure cost‑effective purchasing within budget. Assist with evaluating and testing new, alternative, and existing vendors of materials and ingredients; ensure compliance with QMS supplier evaluation and validation procedures. Participate in new product, project, and equipment meetings; incorporate requirements into work instructions and maintain control of procedure revisions and distribution. Ensure adherence to procedures for validating test equipment; evaluate test methods and instrument accuracy, address variances, and monitor significant quality trends. Ensure compliance with procedures for controlling nonconforming product; provide recommendations for disposition and understand business impacts of product conformity. Stay current on advancements in equipment, processes, and methodologies through research and vendor interaction. Develop analytical capabilities to interpret and document procedures; maintain cross‑training in designated lab or production procedures; ensure technician adherence to safety and operational programs. Analyze data and test results to determine compliance with company and industry standards; prepare summaries and reports as needed. Support implementation of Root Cause Corrective Action processes across relevant areas. Maintain and enhance HACCP and GMP programs to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associate degree with equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience with project or process accountability, document control, process monitoring, procedural implementation, leadership, and vendor relations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, basic statistics, graphing, and data analysis.
