About The Position

Based in our Sherman, TX, plant, you will work in a dynamic, high-tech production facility. This hands-on leadership role ensures compliance with customer requirements while leading, coaching, and coordinating staff and inspection activities. This role is for 2nd Shift, which works a schedule of Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of demonstrated quality assurance experience with understanding of quality assurance standards and processes.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, team building, and problem-solving skills.
• Communicate effectively to provide information to all levels of employees in a global organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 3 years of demonstrated supervisory experience in quality or manufacturing.
• ASQ certification as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
• Experience in process improvement and documentation in an ISO9001 environment.
• Supplier Quality Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe, quality conscious and cost-effective operation.
• Leading, training, evaluating, and scheduling work for teammates throughout the department holding regular toolbox meetings to discuss performance against targets, problems, and the day's work schedule.
• Planning and driving the completion of training and development of assigned personnel in support of achieving objectives, including attaining the necessary degree of cross-training.
• Driving Quality Improvements Initiatives including the promotion and achievement of continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction.
• Ensuring effective team communication to maintain dedication to objectives and hold meetings.
• Implementing lean manufacturing strategies into assigned area(s) through kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 6 S.
