About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support its growing client base by reviewing and validating large, complex application documents submitted to state health departments. This is a high-volume, detail-intensive, internal-facing role. You will review 100–200 page client applications against state-specific regulations and internal standards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance—quickly and reliably. The ideal candidate brings healthcare industry experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is energized by spotting small but critical details that others miss.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA, quality control, testing, or inspection.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required (e.g., healthcare administration, compliance, medical records, health insurance, senior care operations, or similar).
  • Prior experience in document-heavy QA, compliance review, audits, or regulatory documentation is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with US healthcare and/or state-level regulatory environments is a significant advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with QA tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic proficiency with documentation, reporting, and quality monitoring tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; you notice small inconsistencies in text, numbers, and formatting.
  • Proven ability to work quickly and accurately, especially with long and repetitive documents.
  • Strong reading comprehension and the ability to interpret policy, regulatory, or technical language.
  • Highly organized and methodical, with a strong sense of ownership over quality.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn varying state requirements; comfortable switching between different rule sets.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working remotely, with reliable communication and documentation habits.

Responsibilities

  • Review complex health care regulations and update related policies and documents
  • Monitor and track changes in state and federal health care regulations to ensure company policies remain in compliance
  • Develop plans of correction for clients based on health department survey results
  • Write and update lengthy state and federal licensing guides to provide critical information at the fingertips of clients
  • Review 100–200 page client applications and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state health department requirements.
  • Complete initial document reviews in 20 minutes or less while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or errors in language, data, and formatting that could impact regulatory approval.
  • Compare application content against state-specific guidelines, checklists, and internal templates.
  • Stay current with the unique requirements, terminology, and expectations of different US states in relation to healthcare/senior care licensing and approvals.
  • Apply state-specific rules and internal quality standards consistently across all client documents.
  • Flag any regulatory risks or unclear areas and escalate them appropriately for clarification or remediation.
  • Provide clear, structured feedback to internal teams (e.g., writers, consultants, or account managers) on necessary revisions and risk areas.
  • Collaborate to refine templates, checklists, and SOPs to increase accuracy and review speed over time.
  • Contribute insights on recurring quality issues and recommend process or training improvements.
  • Maintain organized records of reviews, decisions, and revisions for internal audit and reference.
  • Track key metrics such as volume of documents reviewed, average review time, and error/defect rates.
  • Communicate risks and priorities clearly to stakeholders to support timely client submissions.
