Quality Assurance Specialist
About The Position
Datron World Communications designs and manufactures advanced tactical radio systems and integrated communications solutions supporting military, government, and mission-critical operations worldwide. For more than 50 years, we have delivered reliable HF and VHF radio systems engineered for performance in demanding environments. Datron is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Vista, California. In this role, you will inspect materials, processes, and products; manage the external calibration program; ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations; implement quality management actions; and provide quality support to projects from planning through completion.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 – 3 years previous experience in quality assurance or a related field.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance tools, methods, and concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong data collection, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certificate in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ CQA or equivalent) preferred.
- Solid understanding of relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100, or military/aerospace standards).
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on all activities, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and generate reports.
- Assist with supplier audits and prepare audit reports.
- Perform regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provide quality support to various departments and projects.
- Conduct or assist with regulatory and quality training sessions.
- Prepare and maintain quality management documentation.
- Coordinate external calibration activities and maintain associated records.
- Manage records for internal and customer-furnished equipment.
- Own and facilitate the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
