About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is responsible for managing clinical incident reporting and chart auditing to ensure quality assurance across the organization. This role involves collaboration with Patient Services leaders to identify areas for improvement in processes, data gathering, and conducting audits to promote consistent quality enhancement in reproductive health care services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance administration.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology required.
  • Experience in a sexual and reproductive health clinical setting preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple projects desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all clinical incident reporting and chart auditing processes.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services leaders to ensure prompt reporting and escalation of process improvements.
  • Gather and audit data from clinics, performing follow-up evaluations to ensure consistent improvement.
  • Conduct annual reviews to develop and update programmatic tools and systems in collaboration with the Clinical Services and Quality team.
  • Perform chart audits related to service delivery and present findings on areas of improvement.
  • Maintain and track completion of all quality studies and reviews in collaboration with the Clinical Informaticist.
  • Regularly review and update data collection tools to align with PPLA Medical Standards & Guidelines.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Action Planning and Root Cause Analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to ensure completion of annual clinical skills evaluations and medical record reviews.
  • Manage all clinical incident reports, including data collection, review, and tracking.
