About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist (Ammunition) position within the Department of Defense focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of munitions and munitions-related items throughout their production and deployment life-cycle. This role involves conducting audits, analyzing manufacturing processes, and providing quality assurance support to both government and commercial facilities.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must file a financial statement.
• Must participate in random drug testing as this is a Testing Designated Position (TDP).
• One year of specialized experience in quality assurance programs, evaluating contractor performance, and final product acceptance of ammunition items, or equivalent education (Ph.D. or 3 years of graduate education in relevant fields).
• Must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist for munitions or munitions-related items.
• Perform audit and analysis functions including conformance, product, and process audits at government and commercial facilities.
• Conduct analysis of manufacturing and statistical process controls.
• Act as a resource for supporting answers concerning audits and analysis of contractor operations.
• Provide necessary quality assurance (QA) support, policy, and guidance to government or commercial facilities.
• Assist in the performance of Quality Assurance (QA) engineering for Government Owed Contractor Operating (GOCO) configuration management support activities.
